Oh So

Oh so much
Oh so little
I fell apart
Before becoming brittle
And I still stood strong
When I could not
And I still felt arms
When there’d be none
And I felt for thee, for yeah
How’d I’d ever come some
But forget ye, me
How’d I’d ever love one
I’d not a hand or pan
On my life nor mine
A simpleton of thine
And I don’t expect
Any expectancy
Since I’d n’er be one
Nor any of thee
And they still don’t like
Any piece of me

Guess I had and would
And moments to be ‘stood
And flattened that piece
I’d never had it all of this
I miss you friend of love
I miss you and you were done
We had a minute, oh sweet it was
We had a quick brush of love
And you’re gone and so am I
Tides a flowing forthwith of a tithe
Tides come back on our hides!

Oh thank and thanks be well
I’ve still lived and I’m still well
And better yet to know of you
And farther than I had wished still
However this plays our piece
Granted one grace of this

Nothing Could Ever Be This Love

You wanna give with ties that bind
Thinking that I would never find
Your bonds have blues and hues, cues
Had I known, I’d not take it true
I could never quite be of this
But you wanted a shake of it

Nothing that is and nothing can be of
Nothing could ever be this love
There’s no connecting right thereof
Nothing could ever be this love

The tides were tough in your stead
And laying on me was your thread
To explain away your heart
When the discord was your art
And play away at my feet
When I’d never asked your feat

Nor asked any of any your qualms
Nothing could ever be this love
You laid them straight in arms
Nothing could ever be this love

I’d wished for transparency
For I’d trusted it given me
But I cannot find it now, I cannot find it now

Nothing could ever be this love
Nothing could ever be this love
Nothing could ever be this love
Nothing could ever be this love

I Keep Writing Poems

I keep writing poems
You keep placing bombs
I want all my meanings
To be close to love psalms
You want to fry all
Your cooking pot to roost
You want all the bygones
Keep focus on your roast
You have no deeper thoughts
Than what you have to boost

I’d never felt more shambles
Than some offering of the too
When a witness has to ramble
To make sense of the root
And explain away the silliness
Of grown men for the truth
Who only brags to offer
When none more is to  boot

You Ask a Song

You ask a song
True of thy fire
Asking of me
If I so desire
And if I could
Or would or should
If I’d had the passion
Or the desire

You asked of flakes
A snow that plays
For the break
Into the haze
A blizzard into
My soul, my face
A storm until
My senses arise
And I can find
Your breath of mine eyes
I may recover
A bit of my tithes

A sanctioned set until
I return to the battle hill
N’er do until thee does
Ne’er for exacting love
And ne’er to done still
A one act of acting will

Thy love, thy truth, thy vine
Thy search of ever-last of mine
I cannot, will not break
I shall not heed not for thy spake
I stand for, to be thy break
The ever-last forsake
Us all and will be for of
The greatest lord Thereof
He’s her and for us one
The everlasting One

Two Kinds of Swords

Two kind of swords
Two swords of none
Two ways to see
Two swords are done
Why’n offer three
A place to run
Why’n send of thee
A shelter of sun
We break the mark
We break the boughs
Forsake the sake
Our sacred vows
I come to thee for remittance
I plea for the comeuppance

Shall we stake the heart
Or a fast near be?
Shall we break apart
This blasphemy?
I will not doubt
Be straightest  of
I will not cower
The blatancy of

The truth that deems
The power fold
The truth that feels
Higher than told
I will but seem
A slayer to
Souls that we
Are apart thereof

And so we will and so we will be
And so we are and so we will for

The Mighty Bens

I can’t help to cower to the nightly clock
That chimes the hour
Because I have three!
And they become of me
Each squeaking their voice o’er the others
Each trying to vie above a hover
And I’m deciphering their cover

And their time keep but quite right
They have me at all times of life
Where I’d be, where I might
They hold me in their plight
Of who is me and shall exist
And the promises I made to this
And a pledge of a belonging
I am strong but they know me
As a girl who’s governed by thee
Who’d never asked above it
And lives by the ole tock and tic
Plainer and stand to with
A dominating hand width

On-point and been the power
The mighty Bens have the hours

How Did That Go?

I remember not too long ago
Took my hand, said where do you want to go?
We were young want to, run the age together
Thought the time was on our side forever

(Chorus)
How did that go?
How did that song go?
We sang it far, we sang it for
The song had found an end before
Now how did that go?

Summer came then fell so far away
All the same when winter came to stay
I never left to put the dream aside
You never stayed to make me your bride

(Chorus)

Father Time then met Mother Nature
We arrived to find our kind of maker
And I sighed for that was all to do
And you cried for what I meant to you

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
It is done now we hold the grey
It is fine now I often pray
Recalling love that summer day
A fleeting lifetime had flown away

(Chorus)
(Repeat and fade out)

Survive because there are others

10 Cloverfield Lane

If you haven't already seen the film, be sure to take an evening to check it out! I was the photo and stunt double for Mary E. Winstead, worked on this project for 2 months every day. The final result was quite pleasing!

True North - Audiobook barred by Olga

We recently released this Romance novel by Kelly Collins and recorded at Laboratory Studio with Cook Allender engineering and co-producing the audiobook with me. It was my first time recording but I rather enjoyed the process. It is like acting in a way and reading, so finding the balance was key.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Scarred. Hopeless. Lost. Alexa Cross leaves Los Angeles with a scarred heart, beat-up car, and a secret. She's ready to move on and leave her past behind, but fate has had a way of knocking her right back down. Marooned in the middle of nowhere, she imagines misfortune has dealt its final blow, but this time, destiny seems to have a different plan when she ends up in a place aptly called The Last Resort. Reassembling shattered lives is what innately sexy, bar owner Zane Abbamonte does best, and it rarely ends well for him. When he sees a woman stranded on the side of the road, desperate and alone, the otherwise irascible biker rescues her without hesitation, but Zane harbors secrets of his own. When Alexa begins to uncover the truth about Zane, the weight of her past comes crashing back. Her instincts say, "Run!" but her heart tells her to stay. Glimpsing the chance for a future together, Zane and Alexa must confront their "ghosts" and navigate through their fears. Will The Last Resort be the end of their encounter or the beginning of everything they desire? Find out in True North.

New Audiobooks narrated by Olga!

We have three new books out this past month, narrated by me and on a variety of subjects. I will post a separate blog for each. In the meantime, I have some free copies to give out to try, and ask only that you might post a review in return. Message me laolga @ laolga . com

The first one is a summary and analysis of Paulo Coelho's Warrior of the Light. He is a writer I enjoy very much and was pleased to be asked to narrate the summary version of this book. I actually used to carry a copy with me, until I gave it to someone I felt really would benefit from it. Coelho's writing is very thoughtful and introspective with a lot of emphasis on soul development and deeper understandings in life experiences. The purpose of the summary is to act as a companion piece to the original work and also an explanation, a "cliff notes" version so to say.

Please click on the link below to check out a sample and pick up a copy via Audible if you are already a member. You can also try Audible out for 30 days free and get a free copy that way!
